So, it has taken me quite a while to figure out a strategy that actually works with humans in Warcraft III. I've been playing the game religiously the past few days, and I finally beat a custom map tonight!

Then I went on to beat two more :)

My strategy is to immediately get 2 heroes and 4 footmen, then scout the area and level the heroes. By the time my heroes are level 3 or so, I have enough gold to upgrade my town and start pumping out an army.

Good times. I know, Warcraft 3 is like 6 years old... I'm just getting into it tho.

Heh, I know the feeling of getting into old games. Never played WC3, just 2, but I've been thinking about actually trying to finish the Starcraft and Brood War campaigns lately.

Hey, just name a time and a place and I'll be there. Although we might have to use private servers since I don't think you can use Battle.net without a CD key.

Who cares....if the games is 6 years old, it's still fun, and worth playing. Glad you figured out a strat that works for you. gj.
