    I wanted to PM takai about this, seeing as he knows all there is to know about phpBB, and I r but teh n00b, but I have no idea how to PM on OP, and so, I make this open topic in the hopes that SOMEONE can help me out.


    I have phpBB forums. Version 2.0.17. I need them upgraded to 2.0.22. But, I have lots of MODs. So, I downloaded the patch upgrade. But, I have no idea how to use it.


    For the record, I checked the phpBB website, and tried everything I could. I got as far as downloading a program for patching on Windows called patch.exe, but couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get it to work.

    I hate upgrading phpBB. Most of the time I just ended up reinstalling it and adding all of my mods back.

    I don't know anything about patching, I've never tried that before.

    I think the easiest way would be to download the code changes from 2.0.17 to 2.0.18 and use easymod to apply them, upgrading your board to 2.0.18. Then upgrade to 2.0.19, 2.0.20, etc. As long as it runs smoothly through easymod then it should work fine.

    I never considered Easymod. I'll definitely try that, thanks.
