Welcome to OpenPost.net, the community discussion forum covering politics and entertainment. The site is built to be easy to use and focuses on discussion, while still being a blast to explore and play with. You will find an archive of topics from the past two years to seek information and get a laugh from reading.

Don't feel hesitant to join in, we're a friendly and personal group that always loves to read a new opinion.

    How it works
OpenPost is a non-profit community driven project empowering free speech. Unlike other communities, we don't define specific areas for discussion. Instead, you can talk about what you want. If people are intrigued by your discussion, it will float at the top of the discussion lists and allow all to contribute. If your discussion is lame, it will be hidden or sunk from the list. There is also a variety of tools available to users to filter, hide, block, or promote discussions.

    Why you should join
    - Easy to use, fun and insightful discussions
    - Defend your opinions
    - Your own highly customizable profile
    - Feed your latest blog posts into your profile
    - Get help, get answers, and speak your mind
    - Absolutely free and non-commercial

    Getting Started
At the top you have your basic sections:
Discussions is a list of all topics with active discussions first. You can customize and filter this list to display only the topics you care about.
Categories is your traditional forum view, allowing you to find specific topics of interest. Here you can block individual categories to filter them out from the Discussions.
Search is optimized to find exactly what you want. You can then save the search to keep up to date with topics about specific keywords. Say you want to watch for new topics about cars - do a search for 'cars' and save the search; this becomes your personal list for discussions about cars!
Account (members only) allows you to view your profile and history. You have your visit count, discussions started, comments, and more. Using the Account options you can change your personal information, password, preferences, and manage your clipboard.

To sign in with your account, use the link in the top right of all pages. You can create an account here.

To start a new discussion, sign in and click “Start a new discussion. Select the most appropriate category from the list, enter your discussion topic, and then enter the body. You can also insert text from your clipboard. Before posting a new discussion, proofread and spell check it to ensure you are efficiently communicating your question. You can format comments as Text or BBCode. Unless you know what you’re doing, Text is just fine.

To reply to a discussion, use the comment form at the bottom of the posts.

There is a lot more that can be done including bookmarked discussions, blocking HTML, History, and much more. For more information, browse the wiki.
