What OS do you like best, and what would you like to see most developed?

I use Windows. No matter what people say, Windows gets the job done and is widely compatible.

I like Mac OS, but all things considered it only seems slightly more efficient than Windows.

Linux (including all of its sub-systems) is a growing option that I haven't looked too far into. Mainly, it is a lack of compatibility/useability.

I guess what I'm getting at is there aren't any operating systems that perform amazingly. All of them have their own flaws, and seem to be competing for building a better "Windows" than actually doing something totally original.

The one OS that has got my attention lately is Solaris (by Sun). They're doing some very unique things over there, and Google is even teaming up with them.
