Do you think the media corperations with all of their spin and slander are destroying America?

I believe that the media's slander is hurting the world. For example, during the 2004 elections the media started spinning John Kerry's time in Vietnam, attacking his awards (mainly his Purple Hearts). Bush took it and ran. It became one of the most debated points during the election.

It was an obvious stretch the Bush administration made to avoid debating issues that actually heald weight in today's world, such as the Iraq war. The media focused so much on this issue, ignoring facts like -- Bush CREATED a whole freakin' war based on false information.

Or take the recent issue with Dick Cheney shooting his friend. Yes, it's strange that our Vice President shot a man. And yes, he was probably drunk at the time. But hell, hunting accidents happen all the time. That's what you get when you mix old men with alcohol and guns. The media, of course, focused completely on this issue for weeks.
