    First, they wanted to charge people per KB of bandwidth. Luckily that fell through (for now at least). Now they want to make the internet into corperate-owned property, tracking every move you make and taking money from your bank account.

    Al Gore even had a seminar recently to support keeping the internet free and open.

    If corperations ever try to do a mass internet takeover then I'm going to start my own internet.

    i think Al Gore had to do with the creation of the "internet" or was a main supporter of it once it began. Anyways, if they do this, imagine the billions who would be affected. i don't want at&t to know that i watch pron when i'm bored or to know if im reading an email or whatever. oh well, we should collaborate on making our own internet.

    im with ya man.... its bullshit that they can try to take something free away from us.... its like making us pay to listen to the radio


    and isnt that kinda what ISPs are for? providing us service to the internet?


    and al gore did not create the internet :rofl:

    Yea I guess they want to create the 'XM radio' version of the internet. Except you would basically pay for every click you make. Like iTunes, except paying to view web pages. It's ridiculous.

    actually, Al Gore did have a hand in the making of the internet when it was first introduced and called, ARPA net. it was used during times of war to communicate between allies.
