Google obvioiusly has the web in its hands, and there's no question they have sufficient money and knowledge to venture in the domain of operating systems.

People that follow Google closely know they love open source and Linux. However, after the recent Google + Sun team up, I wonder if they have plans to work together on a Java-based OS?

Two years ago Internet Explorer was basically the only way to go for web browsing. Now Mozilla has beat Microsoft at it's own game with Firefox which dominates a huge chunk of web browsing.

If a non-proft open source foundation can take down Internet Explorer, I have no doubt that Google could take down Windows with an operating system of their own.

Windows has been regarded as a evil, Linux scares users, and Mac OS X is dependent on Mac hardware. If Google was to put their foot in the pool of systems now would be a good time.

    What do you think?
