    Meet Saotome Ranma, a sixteen year old martial artist with a very unusual life. Being cursed by the Jusenkyou springs, he becomes a cute busty red-headed girl when splashed with cold water. It doesn't help at all that some of his rivals, Kunou for example, are in love with his female side. Being engaged to THREE girls due to unusual circumstances further complicates Ranma's wacky life.

    Ranma is not the only one afflicted with a curse. Ryouga turns into a pig and sometimes acts as Akane's pet, going to bed with her at night. Shampoo, one of Ranma's fiancees, turns into a cat - much to the chagrin of poor Ranma who is deathly afraid of cats due to a traumatic childhood experience with cats, partially the fault of his father Genma who turns into a panda.
