    Um...HELL YEAH!!!! Shit keeps flying out at you, and it's dark as hell... it's fucking awesome, it almost feels as if the minions of hell really are out to get you...now on a side note:

    I have an AMD Athlon XP 1800+ processor, 512 MB of DDR 3200 ram, and an nVidia GeForce 4 MX 440 Graphics card with 64 MB of on board Ram. Now I ran a sytems, so that the game would configure to the best possible setings. It selected "Low quality" which is most fo the good sit turned off, and it runs at 640x480, and I STILL had to turn it down more...


    I want a new computer... this one sucks for Doom 3... *tear in eye* but at least I can play it, whilst making happy wet gugling noises...

    Yea, I was kind of young when all the controversy happened over the original Doom, but wasn't it the game that started the whole ESRB rating?

    You could say that, but I'm not positive on that point. I am, however, positive that Doom was blamed for the dumb ass bastards at columbine that shot their classmates.

    In fact, Doom has been in every arguement ever created to ban violence in video games. It's a fucking game, get over it, and attribute the REAL reason for some kid with a complex to go on a rampage of some sort. BAD PARENTING!!!

    I'll end their, my rant could go on forever...

    Anyway, the original Dooms were sited as games made by "satan worshipers", or "tools of the devil". Let me ask you this: "How is Doom evil, or even promotes evil?"

    Think about it. you aren't gooing through the game killing bunnies and babys (I would have a problem killin bunnies....um...wait...never mind). You are going through the game trying to prevent the forces of Hell from getting off the base, and on to earth. Seems like it's dissin evil to me...Think about it, though I love doom, can one man REALLY fight the ARMY of hell, kick it's ass, bitch slap the main dude, then leave as if nothingg happeded? I think not...

    To your friend, BSF, I say: "Get over it you pansy, it's ONLY a game, you won't roast in hell for playing it...I know...been there... You lie, you go to hell, you cheat, you go to hell, you cheat on a game you go to hell, you cheat on an online game you go to the ninth level of hell, and become satans bitch... but no going to hell for playing a game....you pansy"

    OH NO! I GUESS DOOM 3 DID DESENSITIZE ME, oh wait...that's right, I was a dick BEFORE I played Doom 3....it's all good...

    so uhh.... about my question....

    what are the recomended requirements for "perfect" gameplay

    on another note, i played doom 3 last night at Toe's (online gaming place near my house) and let me say HOLY FUCKING SHIT!! i knew i'd be great, and it surpased my dreams. ONLY down point is the multiplayer... i don't like it

    yup it all became '"bad" cuz of the shootings and then well after we got into the doom subject he came up with the shootings and then im like what shooting and they explained and im like oooooooh (blond moment but im not blond!) and we got into this long topic about guns and games and shizzit like that grrrrrrrr

    actually i thought they also blamed the columbine shooting on the matrix too. i blame the parnets myself. i mean if a parent doesn notice a kid taking masive amounts of weponary out of the house then there is a problem there.

    and yea i played doom3 and its waaaaaay better than i thought it would be. but Durr, whats wrong with the multiplayer. i thought it was quite enjoyable.

    what's wrong with the multiplayer? simply this, it's like unreal re-packaged with the hell mask thingy.....

    It's a mad rush to find the BFG....

    you are referring to "DM" which isn't unreal "re-packaged" as unreal is a rip off of all the preceding fPS's...INCLUDING DOOM!!! Respect your gaming roots...

    As for MP, there are BOUND to be a huge number of mods, including (but not limited too): CTF, TF, CS(though with a different name), and Team DM

    I'm gonna go play it some more now...

    still, even a TDM would be a mad rush to find the BFG, doesn't matter...

    all i'm saying is they could have done ALOT better w/the multiplayer. but then again..... who's gunna be playing the multiplayer on such a perfect solo game like doom 3?

    dude, you can shoot the BFG blasts out of the air... which makes it more interesting
